Jaques Int Limited were awarded the contract to build a purpose-built depot for Danfords, a family run business supplying concrete equipment for over 20 years. This project, initiated by Managing Director, Dan Fordham, will allow the company to grow and expand.

Working with Dan Fordham to create his vision for the future resulted in the design of a depot with five service bays, as well as three mezzanine floors for office and parts store. Within the building integral crane beams were incorporated to support a 10 tonne overhead gantry crane.

The building consisted of TATA trisomet 333 composite roof and wall panels in Goosewing Grey, with TATA microrib composite panels to the office area. Triple skin factory assembled insulated roof lights on one half of the roof and solar PV preparations on the other half.

Accent colour/contrasting flashings in Solent Blue and trimline gutters were fabricated in-house.

Each of the five service bays were fitted with an insulated sectional door. The office and amenity area of the building were fitted with aluminum external doors and UPVc double-glazed windows, with a reflective coating to the glass. Steel insulated fire/personnel doors feature in the service area.

Painted structural steel work coated to industry standard BS EN ISO 1461:2009.

Cold rolled purlins, cladding rails and mezzanine floor joists.

Additional features include entrance door canopy and a galvanized first floor office balcony.
