Integral amenity block including egg packing and temperature controlled storage area, site office, staff canteen, male and female changing and toilet areas, store rooms, freezer room and water control area.

The site features an automatic double tier nest system with egg conveyor taking all eggs to the central packing area where an egg packing machine is located. There is a stand alone gate house at the entrance to the site where a wheel wash is located. The gate house has an additional site toilet and male and female changing rooms. A separate mains electricity building and back-up generator is located at the rear of the site near to the point mains transformer.

Jaques Int initially visited the site at the end of 2019 to see if the 5 existing poultry building could be refurbished, through discussions with the client it was decided that planning permission would be sought to demolish the existing buildings and replace with new. Jaques Int provided new site design with existing and proposed drawings for the client’s planning agent to assist with the planning application. The old buildings were demolished in early 2022 with asbestos cement sheeting requiring correct handling and disposal. Groundworks commenced in Autumn 2022, with buildings being constructed between January and June 2023.
