Project Overview
This project comprises eight clear-span steel-framed broiler houses, each measuring 109.73m (360′) in length by 24.4m (80′) in width. The buildings are arranged in a neat, efficient layout, with feed bins positioned to maximise space alongside the catching canopies.
Design & Construction
Each house is equipped with dedicated biosecurity rooms and catching canopies complete with curtain systems. Externally, the buildings feature a distinctive curved eaves detail. High‑specification double‑glazed uPVC windows provide natural daylight, with insulated composite shut‑off doors operated on a rack and pinion system for enhanced thermal performance.
The structures are steel clad inside and out, with 300mm roof insulation and 150mm wall insulation to optimise energy efficiency and environmental control. Our simple, colour-coded fan canopies—fabricated inhouse—continue to be a popular choice, offering reliable protection against adverse weather.‑clad inside and out, with 300mm roof insulation and 150mm wall insulation to optimise energy efficiency and environmental control.
